These are some tools that I find useful in treating some of the more common climbing injuries. Click on the image to shop.

Wave Tool: soft tissue scraper for increasing blood flow and break up small scar tissue. Commonly used in fingers and forearms.

Sliders: Portable sliders that decrease the surface friction when performing exercises. Useful in exercises that require weight bearing and controlled movement.

Thera Band (loose band): Loose resistance bands in a variety of resistances. Super portable, stretchy, and useful for any crag and gym workout.

Finger web extensors: affordable finger extensor exercise equipment. Comes in different resistances. Used to strengthen the finger extensors.

Weighted Plyometric Balls: Portable small weights in the form of a ball. These are great for wrist and shoulder perturbation and shockload training.

Thera Band (looped band): Looped resistance bands in a variety of resistances. These are more useful in lower body strengthening exercises and perturbation training.

Resistance Bar/Stick: Flexible resistance bar that comes in a variety of resistances to progress/regress the difficulty. Useful in wrist/elbow strengthening.

Foam Pad: Soft foam pad useful in creating an unstable surface. Can be used for all types of lower body balance and perturbation training.

Penguin Fingers: Cold + compression packs designed for the fingers! Useful in acute injuries and after a long session. Also comes in wrist/elbow/knee sleeves.

TFCC Widget: The classic wrist brace you see all across the gym. Primarily for TFCC injuries, but overall useful in stabilizing the wrist and can be used during climbing.

Kinesiotape: Athletic dynamic tape used for all types muscle/joint injuries to provide extra support. Can be used while climbing and lasts 2-3 days at a time.

Coban Wrap: This self-adhesive tape is super useful in decreasing inflammation. Typically used after climbing, particularly useful in treating finger joint synovitis.

Climbing Tape: The classic finger tape everyone swears is the cure to all things climbing injury. Super easy to tear and apply! Useful for finger and wrist injuries.

Bosu Ball (mini): A smaller version of the bosu ball, a half dome used for all types of balance and proprioception training. Useful in training stability!

Hand Exercisers: All in one grip strengthening tool. Useful in training forearm flexors and extensors, super portably and lightweight.

Foam Roll: Medium sized foam roller for all your self muscle knot treatments. I use these a lot in hip, lower, and upper back mobility exercises.

Climbing Sling: Not just for the Trad climbers! Useful tool to easily set up for finger training. Can be tied around or stepped on to provide an immovable point.
